Stephanie Schwartz Quick, RN, MPH

Steph has been a specialist in diabetes care and education for many years, and has been active on the Board of the local Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, as well as with the American Diabetes Association, and with diabetes summer camp. Her Master's degree in Public Health is in the area of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. She was Certified as a Diabetes Educator in 1986 by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators. She has been an officer and member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, and has been a member of the Committee on Education Program Recognition of the American Diabetes Association.

William W Quick, MD, FACP, FACE

Bill has been a specialist in diabetes care and endocrinology for over 30 years. He is a nationally-known expert in diabetes education, and is a past president of the American Association of Diabetes Educators. He is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, and also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology and Diabetes Care. He describes his hobbies as throwing frisbees for his two dogs, and writing about diabetes. In 2005, he developed diabetes, and immediately started on a basal/bolus insulin program. He switched to an insulin pump in June, 2008.
